About caladium kathleen
Caladiums, also known as angel wings or elephant ears, are houseplants with glossy foliage and heart-shaped leaves. These beautiful leaves come in shades of green, pink, red, white and silver. Their appearance is often enhanced by detailed veins and translucent spots. Just gorgeous! These plants also have several other names, such as Heart of Jesus, Fancy-leafed Caladium and Lance-leaf Caladium. Fun fact! Caladiums' unique patterns and colors are thought to act as camouflage to help the plant blend into the dappled light of the forest floor and avoid being eaten by herbivorous animals.

๐ Expert Advice
Use a mixture of potting soil, perlite and sphagnum moss for a well-draining, moist soil. Spray the foliage from time to time to give it extra moisture. you can place a dish with clay balls and water under the pots.
Bury bulbs in pots or in the ground when spring arrives, after the last frost or indoors. In early winter, the plant will go dormant and the leaves will begin to dry out. Put the pot in a dry, shady place and bring it out again in spring. You can also dig up the bulb and put it in a box or bag with wood shavings to keep it dry over winter.
