📝 Conseils d'Expert
Use a loose, fast-draining aroid mix: potting soil cut with perlite plus bark and/or coconut fiber (optionally some sphagnum moss). Choose a pot with drainage; keep the mix evenly moist but never waterlogged.
This cultivar is almost always propagated vegetatively rather than from seed (flowering/seed set indoors is rare). For best results, take stem cuttings with 1–2 nodes (and ideally an aerial root), root in water, sphagnum, or a chunky aroid mix in a warm bright location, then pot up. Plant/propagate during active growth (spring to early autumn). If planting multiple vines in one pot, space nodes/starts so foliage can fill without crowding; use a well-draining mix and a pot with drainage.
Feed lightly during active growth (spring–summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength about monthly, or a low-dose granular fertilizer per label. Flush the pot with plain water periodically to limit salt buildup; reduce or stop feeding in winter if growth slows.
Mulch is optional indoors; if used, apply a thin top-dressing of bark or clay pellets to slow surface drying and reduce splashing. Keep mulch away from stems and do not cover soggy soil.
Provide support to climb (moss pole, coir pole, plank, or trellis). Tie stems loosely with soft ties and keep the pole slightly moist to encourage aerial roots to attach; without support the plant will trail and make smaller leaves.
Prune or pinch back to control length and promote branching; trim leggy vines above a node and use the cut sections as cuttings. Remove yellow or damaged leaves. Major cutbacks are best in spring/summer, but light trimming can be done year-round indoors.
