Encylcopedia and Plant Info
This week we have made minor changes but gathered together, it is making the experience of aphylia even better! First, we decided to rename habitat to climate, to be more coherent regarding how to take care of the plant.
Other changes will only be visible to the admins, like a vegetable checkbox, but it is useful to you cause you can now search vegetables through the filters, and variety of quick actions to change different parameters on the plant info page, such as interior/exterior, plant type, climate, toxicity, light exposure. This way completing a plant info is so much easier and quicker. We also improved the companion plant selection display for the admins.
UX Changes
A few changes have also been made on the UX, some criptic way to say user experience... We removed the share button from bookmarks and likes. And on the admin side, we added an image upload button on the plant creation page
Community
We want aphylia to have a community, and what better way to create a real one than by making our users take part in the growth of Aphylia? That’s why we added a banner on plants under construction inviting community contributions via Discord/email. So if you have pictures of this plant you want to share with us, don’t hesitate ! You will be credited for your contribution of course!
Notion Public Page
This month, we published our first newsletter ! And of course, we wondered where we could post our newsletter. We could have built a fancy new page for our FAQ and newsletter… but let’s be real, our devs are too busy shipping features (and maybe binge-watching cat videos) to code yet another landing page.
So, we did what any resourceful team would do: we dumped everything into Notion. Why? Because it’s already there, it’s easy, and honestly, we needed a place to stash our newsletter where people could actually find it—without having to subscribe first.
