Weekly Update : 13th to 19th April
Résumé: Aphylia’s April 13–19 update reorganizes the Plant Edit screen, adds a timeline Journal with filters, fixes streak and bookmark touch issues, and ships an early Android APK.

Hello dear gardeners ! Here we are again, ready with some news and updates to share with you. Let’s go through them!

A garden that finally feels tidy

If you've ever opened your garden to edit a plant and felt like you were hunting through a drawer, good news: that drawer just got organized. The Plant Edit screen has been reworked so the photo, the name, and the tasks all sit together in one calm, breathable space. No more scroll-scroll-scroll just to change a watering reminder. Everything you need is right where your eyes already are.

A journal you'll actually want to open

Our Journal got the glow-up it has been quietly asking for. There's now a real timeline — a week view on desktop, a month view on mobile — so you can scroll through your gardening story like a soft little flipbook. Filters by plant and by keyword make finding that one note about your tomato much easier. And our favorite tiny touch: a "write a journal entry" button living directly in your garden, ready whenever inspiration strikes.

It's a small change that makes journaling feel less like a task and more like a habit you'll genuinely enjoy.

Honest streaks, happier hands

Let's talk streaks. They're meant to celebrate your care, not flatter empty gardens. Until last week, gardens with no plants or no configured tasks were quietly racking up success streaks for doing… nothing. We tucked that away. From now on, your streak means something — it reflects the love you actually put in.

And while we were polishing, we fixed something that had been making mobile users sigh: bookmark plant cards relied on mouse-hover to reveal their controls, which meant phones and tablets were basically locked out. Now, every tap, swipe, and long-press is met with a friendly response. Bookmarks are finally yours again, no matter the screen.

Pocket-sized Aphylia is on the way

Great news — a first version of our mobile app is now available as an APK on our GitHub. It's still early days, and we'd love to hear what you think. If you give it a spin, don't hesitate to share your feedback, report bugs, or suggest improvements. Your input will directly shape what comes next.

Corrected bugs

  • Fix false streaks and advice showing for gardens with no plants or tasks

  • Fix native app API requests failing due to wrong origin routing

  • Fix bookmark plant cards unusable on touch devices due to hover-gated controls

See you soon !
