Hello gardeners ! It is once again, our time to review all that our team have brought to Aphylia this week to make it a better app for you.

Welcome to Aphylia through the Onboarding

This weeks big change is the onboarding. Until now, when you created an account, you had directly access to the app and could start working on your gardening projects or look through plants. But we found it shameful to not get to know you better and therefor give you the best experience possible ! That’s why we created the onboarding.

We will ask you a few questions about your ambitions, knowledge and habits gardening wise to then adapt the content shown to you in the app in the future.

Security Audit

It is important for us that Aphylia respects every aspect of a safe service. That’s why this week, our focus has been on aligning ourselves with the various laws in vigor in Europe, UK and in other parts of the world regarding RGPD.

  • From now on, you have to agree to our cookie chart, privacy chart and our terms of services to use our app. Anytime there is a change in those, you will be alerted and will have to sign them again to use Aphylia again. If you ever refuse them, you will have to contact our support email to unblock your account.

  • If unfortunately you ever want to leave the aphylia adventure and want to delete your account, we have made sure that every bit of information we have gathered about you will be deleted immediately. However, if your account isn’t active after a year, we will delete it as well. You can also request a document of all the information we have about you through our support address.

  • To avoid any attempt of cyber attacks, we have worked on rate limiting of certain tools, therefor you cannont spam them with requests.

Notifications

In the days to come, you might see new notification templates to remind you of all your tasks throughout the week, we hope you will find them fun and motivating !

Common plants names

You might have noticed that some plants have names that are commonly used on daily basis, but that are not their official names! Now you can look for the plants through this common name even though that might not the name we have given it on the encyclopedia.

New FAQ

Using a new app always comes with plenty of questions. We have therefor updates our FAQ with questions we thought appropriate and might help you in your experience of Aphylia. However, don’t hesitate to ask more questions by sending us an email on : support@aphylia.app. We will add the most common ones to our FAQ

New Icon

This little change is quite funny, probably one of our favorites! The old icon of plant in construction reminded one of our team members of a cake… Not ideal when working near lunch and dinner time… We changed it for a more scientific one ! Besides, we thorughly believe it is a bad idea to drink something from a test tube.
