What’s New on the Aphylia App in 2026?
Happy new year, dear users ! Despite the holiday season, we couldn’t just rest and kept working on some new features and improvement for Aphylia. Let’s have a look at all of this, shall we?
🌿 Better Access to Public Gardens
We fixed a major issue that prevented guest users from viewing public gardens.
Our mission is to let everyone explore and share their plant passion — and now public garden content is finally accessible to visitors again.
🖼 Plant Display Improvements
Plants without images now show a placeholder icon in the Encyclopedia
Plants without images are no longer displayed in the Discovery page (images are essential there)
Unverified plants now display a “Building Preview” page instead of unfinished data, protecting users from incorrect information
🔍 New Encyclopedia Filters
Finding the perfect plant is now easier than ever thanks to new filters:
Habitat
Maintenance level (great for beginners)
Safety (for humans and pets)
Living Space compatibility
🌼 Chat Inside Gardens
A brand-new Garden Chat allows users to:
Ask plant-related questions
Send photos
Get fast advice based on their actions
This feature uses an AI, is optional and can be disabled.
🌟 PRO Advice Is Back — and Better
We fully reworked PRO Advice. PRO users can now:
Share advice
Add images and helpful links
Highlight critical plant care tips
The UI has been redesigned to look like friendly sticky notes, making advice easier and more pleasant to read.
⚡ Faster Plant Publishing
We introduced a bulk plant import system to quickly move multiple plant requests into “In Progress” status, allowing them to appear on the platform sooner while still being verified.
💬 A Brand-New Real-Time Messaging System
We are currently testing a new real-time messaging system that lets users:
Send instant messages to each other
Share images and links
React to messages
Enjoy true live conversations without refreshing the page
This is a huge step forward in making our community more connected and interactive.
🔔 Smarter Notifications
We’ve also implemented a new notification system to make sure you never miss what matters:
Friend requests
Garden invitations
And many more special events
Everything is now handled in real time, keeping you up-to-date effortlessly.
🧑💻 A Powerful New Admin Team Panel
A brand-new panel is now available at:
/admin/advanced/team
Admins can now easily:
Add new team members
Edit team profiles
Update descriptions and images
Manage the “About” page content directly from the database
No more rewriting code for simple updates!
🗂 Admin Navigation Improvements
To make the admin area clearer and more logical:
Requests are now “Plants”

🛡 Stronger Admin Moderation Tools
Admins now have access to powerful new tools to:

Making it even easier to connect with others.
🌺 New Plant Images Added
Missing images have been added to many plants, including:
Ferns, Bee Orchid, Bamboo, Autumn Crocus, Bougainvillea, Calypso, Cardxell Lily, Pilea Peperomioides, Chain of Hearts, Daffodil, Alocasia Dragon Scale, Delphinium, Ficus Pumila, Ginger, Lithops Halii, Philodendron, Orange Tree, Quinoa, Euphorbia — and more!
